Can we really age… backwards?
Skincare and in-clinic treatments are fast becoming more advanced than ever in the industry today, with many clients looking for better ways to get or maintain younger looking skin. I am so excited to be able to offer anti-ageing treatments that are purely harnessing how your own body functions to turn back the clock rather than solely relying on injectable treatments. I have always dreamed about a treatment that can keep us looking like our natural self for longer.
DMK is way ahead of the game when it comes to age management. The future of anti-aging is stem cell therapy and DMK’s revolutionary new treatment StemZyme is finally here after 10 years in the making, and it won’t disappoint!
There is nothing like this treatment globally, we harness skin health by improving the future quality of skin cells. The treatment is proactive and preventative and great for anyone looking to future proof, as well as improve the current health and look of their skin.
What are epidermal stem cells and why are they important?
They are responsible for producing ALL epidermal skin cells.
Keratinocytes – the cells that make our ever renewing skin cells, they are cell communicators and when they are reproducing in a healthy rhythm it shows the body that it is healthy and everything is ok
Fibroblast cells – the cells that produce collagen and elastin to support our skin and keep it elastic
Melanocytes – our pigment producing cells that protect us from harmful UV radiation
Langerhans cells – Our skins immune response cells which protect us from invading bacteria and pathogens giving us a strong skin
When all of these cells function happily and healthily we have youthful vibrant skin.
Why does our skin age chronologically?
Happy well nourished stem cells are vital for producing good strong adult epidermal skin cells with the ability to regenerate themselves – when they decline and lose the ability to do this process well, we start to see signs of chronological ageing in the skin as the functions of the adult epidermal skin cells becomes impaired.
Skin firmness and elasticity goes if Fibroblast activity is not functioning well resulting in lines, wrinkles and sagging of the skin. We start to get pigmentation-age spots due to malfunction of the Melanocytes, skin cell renewal slows down so the keratinocytes aren’t able to communicate effectively making the skin become flat and dull, decline in the Langerhan function makes the skin become weak and susceptible to attack from bacteria and pathogens.
As we age our stem cells decline in number, starting from up to 1 billion from when we are born, to 100,000 when we reach 80. We are looking to reverse this decline with StemZyme using scientifically proven treatments and home prescriptives.
What is the science behind DMK StemZyme?
Stemzyme is a 50-day treatment plan where we aim to renew your own adult epidermal stem cells to tackle the natural decline of chronological ageing.
We use your own stem cells, so your body will recognise and accept what we are trying to do and not reject it, so the treatment is bespoke to you, encouraging a process that naturally occurs in the body resulting in successful treatment.
It successfully differentiates Stem Cells into various skin cells meaning we ensure the cell differentiates into a new melanocyte, fibroblast keratinocyte etc so they don’t die after the stem cell stimulating process
It halts the decline in epidermal stem cells, reactivating them and so is a very effective age management treatment – literally ageing backwards!
Strengthens the skins immune system so the skin can defend itself against pathogens, bacteria etc
How is DMK Stemzyme different to other stem cell therapy treatments?
The reason DMK are more successful in stem cell therapy is because by using your own adult epidermal stem cells that are already programmed to do their job, we can guarantee a successful treatment as the body knows what to do, it won’t accept plant stem cells, they would be rejected by the body and broken down.
We also ensure that cell differentiation takes place successfully, and we support the new skin cell lifecycle during every step of the process which no other company globally is able to do.
Differentiation is where the stem cell splits into half, one half becomes another stem cell, and the other half becomes a new skin cell to generate younger tissue like keratin, collagen and elastin etc the success of the overall treatment is down to successful cell differentiation. We want to also ensure that when the stem cell splits it is a photocopy of a healthy stem cell and not a damaged one to ensure the future quality of the skin
